1. Agreeing to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("VoiceTestLab", "we", "us"), which operates voicetestlab.com. By using the site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use VoiceTestLab.

2. What VoiceTestLab offers

• Free voice tests. Vocal range, voice type, low note, Hz/pitch, singing pitch and hearing tests, plus a browser voice changer. They run in your browser without an account, and your microphone audio stays on your device.
• AI features. AI Voice Review and the AI Voice Generator (character voices such as Santa, robot, kid, scary and announcer). These require an account and use credits.

We may add, change or remove features over time. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any prepaid subscription time you can no longer use.

3. Results are for practice, not diagnosis

Test results and AI feedback are estimates. They depend on your microphone, browser, background noise and how you sing or speak on the day. They are for entertainment, learning and practice only and are not medical, audiological or vocal-health advice. Our hearing tests are not a hearing exam.

If you have voice pain, ongoing hoarseness or changes in your hearing, please see a doctor, an ENT specialist, an audiologist or a qualified voice professional.

4. Your account

• Age. You must be at least 13, or older if your country sets a higher minimum age. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
• Content for kids. You may play generated audio, such as a Santa message, for children, but the account must belong to an adult. Children under 13 must not use the account or record themselves on it.
• Keep it secure. Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us right away at support@voicetestlab.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. Don't sell, share or transfer your account.

5. Credits, subscriptions and payments

• Credits. AI features use credits. The cost of an action is shown before you run it. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and may expire as stated on the pricing page or at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Each period includes the credits described on the pricing page. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. If we change a subscription price, we will tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal.
• One-time credit packs are charged once and don't renew.
• Payment processing. Payments are handled by Stripe or another processor shown at checkout. We never receive or store your full card number. Prices may not include tax; any applicable tax is shown at checkout.
• Failed generations. If an AI task fails because of a technical problem on our side, the credits for that attempt are returned to your balance.

6. Refunds

We want refunds to be simple and fair:

• Unused subscriptions. If you haven't used any credits from a subscription charge, you can request a full refund within 7 days of that charge (the first purchase or a renewal).
• Unused credit packs. The same applies to one-time packs: if none of the pack's credits have been used, you can request a refund within 7 days of purchase.
• Used credits are not refundable, including partly used subscriptions and packs.
• How to ask. Email support@voicetestlab.com with your account email and order details. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; how long that takes depends on your bank or payment provider.

These rules don't limit any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer laws where you live. Where the law gives you more, the law applies. If something went wrong with a charge, please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can fix it quickly.

7. Your content and AI output

• Your inputs. You keep your rights in the recordings, uploads and text you submit. You give us a limited license to store, process and transmit them, including to our AI providers, only to run the service for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how review recordings are deleted after processing.
• Rights you need. Only upload your own voice or recordings you have permission to use. Don't upload recordings of other people without their consent.
• Generated audio. We don't claim ownership of the audio you generate.
  • Paid users (with an active subscription or purchased credits) may use generated audio for personal and commercial purposes, as long as that use follows these Terms and the law.
  • Free trial generations are for personal, non-commercial use only.
• No guarantee of uniqueness. AI output is not always unique, and other users may get similar results. Whether AI-generated audio can be protected by copyright depends on local law, and we can't guarantee that you can register or enforce such rights.
• Characters are generic. Our character voices are styles, not real people, and are not affiliated with any person, brand or franchise. Don't present output as coming from, or endorsed by, a real person or brand.
• Your responsibility. You are responsible for how you use generated audio, including labelling it as AI-generated where the law requires.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use VoiceTestLab to:

• Impersonate real people. Don't generate or present audio as the voice of a real person, such as a celebrity, public figure, politician or someone you know, for fraud, scams, defamation, harassment, or to mislead people about elections or political issues.
• Create harmful or illegal content. This includes any sexual content involving minors (we report it to the authorities), hate content targeting people for who they are, threats, and anything else that breaks the law.
• Use recordings you have no right to use, or otherwise infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or publicity rights.
• Abuse the service. Don't get around the credit system, create accounts in bulk, scrape or reverse-engineer the site, overload it, resell access without our permission, or upload malware.

If you break these rules we may remove content, withhold features, or suspend or close your account, without notice in serious cases. Credits on an account closed for a serious violation are not refunded. To report misuse, email support@voicetestlab.com.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on VoiceTestLab infringes your copyright, email support@voicetestlab.com with: your contact details, the work you own, where the infringing material appears, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

10. Our intellectual property

The site, software, tests, design, text and the VoiceTestLab name and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and revocable license to use VoiceTestLab under these Terms. Don't copy, modify or redistribute the site itself except as the law allows.

11. Third-party services

VoiceTestLab relies on others, including Google sign-in, Stripe and other payment processors, Cloudflare, and AI model providers. Their own terms apply to their services, and the availability or quality of AI features can change when those providers change their models.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using VoiceTestLab at any time and ask us to delete your account by email. We may suspend or close an account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, if you don't pay, or if your use puts other people or the service at risk. If we close your account for any other reason, we will refund unused prepaid subscription time and unused purchased credits on a pro-rata basis. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 7, 9 and 13 to 16) continue after your account closes.

13. Disclaimers

VoiceTestLab is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy of test results or AI output, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to VoiceTestLab is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

15. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from third-party claims caused by your content, your use of generated audio, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled by the courts of [Jurisdiction]. Before starting a formal claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will give you reasonable notice by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using VoiceTestLab after that, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using the service and cancel your subscription.

18. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about VoiceTestLab. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right right away, we don't give it up. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger or sale of our business. If a translated version conflicts with this English version, the English version controls.
