How it works

How to make an epic trailer voice

Three steps, about a minute of work. Sign in first: the generator uses credits, and new accounts can try it once for free.

  1. Step 1

Write five or six short lines

Trailers talk in fragments: a world, a hero, a twist, the stakes, a title. Keep each line under about ten words and end it with a period or an ellipsis so the voice can pause. A script above is a quick place to start.

  2. Step 2

Keep the trailer preset or switch voices

The preset uses Orus, a firm male voice, told to sound deep, dramatic and slow. Set Delivery to Slower for extra weight, or try a gravelly or mature voice to change the mood of the film.

  3. Step 3

    Generate, add echo, download

Press Generate. The clip is usually ready in 10 to 30 seconds. Try Deep for more low end or Cave echo for a huge, ringing tagline, then download the WAV file and lay it under your footage.

Quick reference

Anatomy of a movie trailer narrator voice script

Most narrated trailers move through the same beats. Write one line per beat and you will land at roughly 20 to 30 seconds.

BeatIts jobExample line
The worldSet the time and place"In a town where nothing ever happens..."
The heroIntroduce one person"...one retired teacher keeps a secret."
The turnBreak the routine"Until the letter arrives."
The stakesShow what could be lost"Forty years. One chance. No way back."
The buildShort hits, rising tension"No map. No help. No fear."
The titleName the story"The Last Lesson."
The releaseSay when"Coming this spring."

In your edit, leave a beat of silence or a music hit before the title line. The pause does half the work.

Highlights

Built for the big trailer sound

The preset handles the delivery, the effects handle the size, and you keep full control of the words.

Deep, slow and dramatic by default

The trailer preset tells the AI to speak low and slow and to let its pauses land, so even a plain script comes out with weight. Periods and ellipses become dramatic beats instead of being rushed through, which is exactly what a trailer narrator voice needs.

Pauses you can place

Type an ellipsis for a held beat, or the tag <long pause> for a full stop before the title. Each tag counts as 20 billable characters, so use one or two where they matter most. The billable count and credit cost update as you type.

Theater-sized effects in your browser

After the clip is made, add Deep for extra low end or Cave echo for a big, ringing tagline. Effects run on your own device, so trying them never uses credits, and Original is always one click away.

Ready for your timeline

Download a WAV file and drop it into any video editor under your footage and music. Every clip also stays under My voices in your account, so you can grab a take again later without generating it twice.

How to write a trailer script that sounds epic

An epic trailer voice is mostly good writing. Trailer narration speaks in fragments, not paragraphs, and every fragment raises the stakes a little. Start wide with a world or a time, narrow to one character, break their routine, then hit the audience with three short lines and a title. If a sentence explains something, cut it. The pictures explain; the voice teases.

Write for the ear. Put the strongest word at the end of each line, because that is where the voice lands and lingers. Keep names easy to say, and if the AI stumbles on one, spell it the way it sounds. Then read the script aloud at half speed. Anything that feels long out loud will feel twice as long in the final cut.

  • The rule of three: "No map. No backup. No return address." Three short hits build tension faster than one long sentence.
  • A classic opener: phrases like "In a world where..." or "This summer..." tell listeners it is a trailer within two words. Use one, near the top.
  • Silence is part of the script: an ellipsis or a <long pause> before the title gives your music room to hit.
  • Mind the length: 50 to 70 words is about 30 seconds at trailer pace, the length of a short TV spot.

Where to use a trailer voice generator

You don't need a film to use a trailer voice. The style works anywhere you want a moment to feel bigger than it is: a channel trailer, a product launch, a game announcement, a school project, or a birthday video that treats your mom's 40th like a summer blockbuster. Comedy is where it shines. The more ordinary the subject, the funnier the epic delivery.

For real films, indie games and podcasts, a generated voice is also a fast way to test a script before you book a voice actor. You hear the pacing, cut the lines that drag and hand the actor a tighter draft. If the trailer will be used commercially, check the usage rules in the FAQ below first.

Not every project needs full drama. For a low, calm read without the trailer pauses, use the deep voice generator. For countdowns, hype and big introductions, the announcer voice generator fits better. The rest of the styles are in the AI voice generators hub.
