“Ship computer for a game
Access granted. Welcome back, Commander. Reactor output is at sixty-two percent, shield generators are offline, and someone left a sandwich in the server room. Shall I begin repairs, or would you prefer to panic first?
Try the voice Kore with the Calm delivery for a colder ship AI.
“Channel intro bot
System online. Hello, viewers. I am Byte, the official robot of this channel. Today's mission: three gadgets, one budget, zero explosions. Probability of success: high. Please like this video to keep my batteries charged.
“Malfunctioning robot
Error. Error. Rebooting personality module... <short pause> Re-re-rebooting... Hello! I am feeling ninety-nine percent fine. The other one percent is a song I cannot stop singing. Beep boop. Beep boop. Please send help.
The Excited delivery makes the glitch sound more frantic.
“Smart home morning briefing
Good morning. The time is seven fifteen. Outside temperature: fifty-four degrees. Today's schedule includes one meeting, two errands and zero excuses. Your coffee has been brewing for four minutes. You are welcome.
“Sci-fi evacuation alarm
Warning. Hull breach detected on deck seven. All crew report to the escape pods. This is not a drill. Repeat: this is not a drill. Doors will seal in ninety seconds. <short pause> Have a pleasant evacuation.
Switch the effect to Radio for a ship-wide intercom.
“Classroom robot helper
Hello, students. I am Robo-Tutor. Today we will learn about fractions. One pizza, cut into eight slices. You eat three slices. How many are left? Calculating... Five slices. Correct. Also, I would like some pizza.
How it works
How to use the robot voice generator
Four steps from a typed line to a robot clip you can drop into a video or game. You'll need a free account to generate.
01
Step 1
Write or load your robot's lines
Type up to 1,000 billable characters, or press Use this on a sample above. Short, complete sentences sound the most mechanical.
02
Step 2
Pick a voice and a delivery
The robot preset starts on Iapetus, a clear male voice with flat, evenly spaced syllables. Switch to any of 30 voices, then choose As preset, Calm, Excited, Whisper or Slower to change how your robot behaves.
03
Step 3
Generate your robot clip
Press Generate. The button shows the credit cost before you click, and most clips are ready in 10 to 30 seconds. If a generation fails, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
04
Step 4
Add the robot effect and download
When the clip arrives, the Robot effect is already switched on. Compare it with Original, Alien, Radio or Deep, then download the version you like as a WAV file.

Highlights
Built for convincing robot voices
The AI handles the flat, precise delivery. A browser effect adds the metal.
A metallic effect made from classic synth tricks
The Robot effect runs your clip through a ring modulator at about 48 Hz for the buzzing sci-fi tone, blends in a 7-bit crushed copy for retro grit and adds an 11-millisecond echo that rings like a metal shell. It all happens in your browser within seconds.
Thirty voices, five ways to deliver
The preset starts on Iapetus, but any of the 30 male and female voices can take on the robot style. A firm female voice makes a convincing ship AI, while an upbeat one sounds like a toy robot. Delivery sets the attitude: calm, excited, whispered or slower.

Try every effect without paying again
Credits pay for the speech, not the effects. Once a clip is generated, you can switch between Robot, Alien, Radio, Deep, Cave echo and the rest as often as you like, because the processing runs on your own device.

Original voices, kept in your account
Every voice is an original AI voice, not a copy of an actor or a famous film robot. Your clips are saved under My voices, so you can play or download the original again whenever you need it.
01
How to write lines that sound robotic
A robot voice is as much about the writing as the sound. Machines in movies and games speak in short, complete statements, report numbers precisely and almost never use filler words. Write the way a status screen reads: subject, action, result. Then let punctuation handle the timing, because the AI pauses at periods and lingers on an ellipsis.
Comedy robots work the other way round. Give the robot one human quirk, like a song it can't stop humming or strong opinions about socks, and keep everything else deadpan. The gap between the flat delivery and the silly line is where the laugh comes from.
Periods for clipped beats: “Scanning. Scan complete.” Two short sentences sound more mechanical than one long one.
Ellipses for processing: “Calculating...” adds a beat of hesitation, as if the robot is thinking it over.
Tags for timing: <short pause> or <long pause> inserts a deliberate gap. Each tag counts as 20 billable characters, so one or two per script is plenty.
Write numbers and units as words: “sixty-two percent” reads more predictably than “62%”.
Robot noises as words: beep, boop and bzzt are read like words, so they fit the rhythm instead of breaking it.
02
Why robot voices sound the way they do
The classic movie robot sound comes from audio tricks much older than AI. Ring modulation multiplies a voice by a steady tone, which turns natural pitch into a buzzing, metallic drone; science fiction on TV used it for decades. Bitcrushing lowers the resolution of the audio and recalls the speech chips in 1980s computers and talking toys. A very short echo adds the resonance of a metal body.
Modern text to speech supplies the other half: delivery. Even syllables and flat intonation make a voice sound programmed before any effect is added. This generator combines both, so you keep clear, understandable words and still get the machine character. To turn your own recording into a robot instead, use the robot voice changer, free in your browser. For other characters, browse all the AI voice generators.

Still have a question?
The quickest way to find out is to try it yourself. It only takes a minute.
You can try it once for free. Generating speech needs a free account, and after that each clip uses credits, and the Generate button shows the cost before you press it. The robot effect and the other browser effects cost nothing. Plans and credit packs are on the pricing page.
Yes, as a paid user. With an active subscription or purchased credits, you can use your clips in monetized videos, games, ads and other commercial work. Clips made with free trial credits are for personal, non-commercial use. In every case, don't present a clip as a real person's voice, and label it as AI-generated wherever the law or a platform requires it.
No. The voices are original AI voices with a robot delivery and effect on top. We don't clone actors, voice assistants or famous film robots. Describe the kind of machine you want with the voice, delivery and script instead, and the result is yours to use under the terms above.
A generator turns typed text into speech, so you don't record anything, and it uses credits because an AI model creates the voice. A robot voice changer takes your own recording and applies the effect in your browser, free and without an account.
Keep the Robot effect on, choose the Calm or Slower delivery and break your script into short sentences with periods. Even-toned voices such as Iapetus or Schedar sound more mechanical than lively ones. For a thinner, walkie-talkie robot, try the Radio effect on the same clip.
A WAV file. The original clip is 16-bit mono audio that any video editor, game engine or audio app can import. When you choose an effect, that version is rendered in your browser and also downloads as WAV. Save it before you leave the page; My voices keeps the original without effects.
Up to 1,000 billable characters per clip, which is roughly a minute of English speech. Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as 3 each, and every tag counts as 20. For longer scripts, split them into several clips with the same voice and delivery, then join them in your editor.
Yes. Write the script in the language you need, such as Spanish or Chinese, and the robot preset keeps its flat, precise delivery. Billing follows the same rules, so a Chinese script uses more billable characters than an English one of the same length.
