Scripts to try

Kid voice scripts to try

Use this loads a script into the kid voice generator. Each one is written the way kids really talk: quick, curious and a little out of breath.

Backyard discovery
Mom! Mom! Come quick! There's a ladybug on my shoe and she has seven spots. I counted twice! Can we keep her? I'll name her Penny and build her a house out of leaves. Pleeease?

Try the Excited delivery for extra wiggle.

Story character
Hi! My name is Ollie and I'm almost six and three quarters. Today I'm a pirate, but a nice pirate who shares the treasure. Our ship is made of couch cushions, and the floor is definitely lava. Ready? Let's go!

For a boy character, switch the voice to Puck or Sadachbia.

Bedtime question
Um... why is the moon following our car? Does it like us? And if it follows us all the way home, can it sleep in my room tonight? I'll be really, really quiet. Promise.

The Calm or Whisper delivery suits sleepy questions.

Game hint
Hey, over here! I found the secret key behind the waterfall! But the door is guarded by a very grumpy frog. Maybe if we tell him a joke, he'll let us through. Do you know any good frog jokes?

Short lines like this work well as in-game hints.

Learning app prompt
A is for apple! B is for bubbles! C is for... cupcake! I love cupcakes. Now it's your turn. Can you think of a word that starts with D? Take your time. I'll wait right here!

Use the Slower delivery for early readers.

Talking baby
Uh-oh! Where my sock go? Bye-bye, sock! Hee hee! More snack, please. More! Okay... nap time now. Night-night!

Add the Chipmunk effect and choose Slower for a baby-sized voice.

How it works

How to make a kid voice with AI

Three steps from text to a playful kid voice. Sign in to generate; new accounts can try it once for free.

  1. Step 1

Write it the way kids talk

Short sentences, big feelings and lots of questions. Type your own lines or press Use this on a script above. Under 300 characters, about 20 seconds, is long enough for most scenes.

  2. Step 2

Pick a girl or boy voice

The preset uses Leda, a youthful female voice, for a little girl or any kid character. For a boy, choose a lighter male voice such as Puck or Sadachbia and the Excited delivery. The playful kid style stays the same.

  3. Step 3

    Generate, then shape it

Press Generate and listen, usually within 30 seconds. Add the Chipmunk effect for a smaller, younger sound, or regenerate with Slower for a toddler or Excited for a hyper kid. Then download the WAV file.

These are AI voices performing child characters, much as adult actors voice kids in cartoons. Ages describe the feel you're going for, not a real child's voice.

Highlights

Original kid voices, made with care

Kid voices need a little extra thought. Here is how the generator handles them.

Kid in a plaid shirt belting into a microphone with one arm stretched out

Cartoon-kid energy from the first take

The kid preset asks for an excited, curious young cartoon character: bright, bouncy and a little breathless with wonder. Your lines come out sounding like a kid on an adventure, not an adult reading slowly in a high voice.

Never cloned from real children

Every voice comes from the generator's stock AI voices plus a style direction, the same way cartoon kids are usually voiced by adult actors. No child's recording is used to make them, and the tool has no voice cloning at all.

Girl in blue headphones sitting on her bed with a tablet

Shape the voice after you generate

Effects run in your browser on the finished clip. Chipmunk makes a voice smaller and younger, Radio turns it into a walkie-talkie message, and Original is always one tap away. Trying effects doesn't use extra credits.

Girl in headphones watching a tablet in bed next to her dad, both in red plaid pajamas

Ready for stories, games and lessons

Download a WAV file and drop it into a video editor, game engine, slideshow or e-learning tool. Every clip stays in My voices so you can grab it again, and paid users can use clips in commercial projects.

Tips for natural child text to speech

Kids don't talk like adults with higher voices. They speed up when excited, trail off when they lose a thought, repeat words for emphasis ("really, really big") and ask questions constantly. The more your script does those things, the more believable the kid voice sounds, whichever voice you pick.

Use punctuation as stage directions. An ellipsis adds a thinking pause ("Um... maybe?"), stretched words add excitement or a whine ("Pleeease!"), and exclamation marks push the energy up. Keep vocabulary age-appropriate: a four-year-old says "the big truck that goes beep", not "the construction vehicle". Read it aloud once to catch anything that sounds too grown-up.

For a baby or toddler character, go very short: two- and three-word phrases, sound words like "uh-oh" and "bye-bye", and plenty of pauses. Then add the Chipmunk effect and the Slower delivery. A talking-baby clip works best under 10 seconds, so it stays funny rather than strange.

  • Questions: kids ask them constantly, often three in a row.
  • Repetition: "really, really", "more, more!"
  • Concrete words: ladybug, cupcake, couch cushions.
  • Restarts: "And then... wait, no, first..."

Using kid voices responsibly

Kid voices are great for stories, games, lessons and family fun. They're not for pretending to be a real child. Don't use them to imitate a specific kid, to make fake calls or messages that could frighten or mislead someone, or in anything that sexualizes or harms children. Those uses break our Terms of Service, and we report illegal content involving minors.

If you publish kid-voice content, say it's AI-generated wherever the platform or the law asks you to. Commercial projects need a paid plan or purchased credits; clips made with free trial credits are for personal use. And if your child wants to make silly voices too, let an adult hold the account and press the button together.
